Additional Information:
The Fremont Family Fun Festival will Thursday, August 5th at the Fremont Clinic. The Festival will include free ice cream, face painting, kids games and activities, and prizes. The Fremont Family Fun Festival will also include hip hop by the Hood Nerds, a breakdancing demonstration, health information and screenings. In addition, there will be "Back to School" shots available for kids. The immunizations will be free for those eligible and without insurance. For those with insurance, most plans are accepted.

NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center is establishing a Kids Day Dental program and will launch the event on Aug 12th. Volunteers from United Health Group will help with transitioning part of the dental lobby into a kids friendly area complete with Sesame Street branded table, chairs and reading materials. Volunteers will also be building book shelves as well as providing books.

Throughout National Health Center Week, West Side will be hosting special events at its two primary care sites: La Clinica at 153 Cesar Chavez Street and East Side Family Clinic (ESFC) at 860 Arcade Street. Each day will be staffed by knowledgeable health care professionals who are dedicated to caring for the health of our diverse community. We will offer free glucose and HIV testing, family planning resources, breast and cervical cancer information, and more! All events will take place between 8am and 4:30pm everyday. Our ESFC events include Women’s Health information on Monday, HIV/STD information and free testing on Tuesday, Diabetes education on Wednesday and Thursday, and Dental education and services on Friday. Our La Clinica site will offer HIV/STD information and free testing on Monday, Diabetes education on Tuesday and Friday, Women’s Health education and referrals on Wednesday and Dental services on Thursday. We hope to see you there! Our La Clinica Site will also host volunteers from the United Health Group on Thursday August 12th from 9:30am to 12:00pm focused around literacy. Activities will include the set up of a new reading corner in the clinic’s main lobby with reading events and craft-making activities taking place throughout the morning.
