What You Can Do
National Health Center Week is a great
time to spread the word about your health center and the good work
it is doing for your community.
In planning events for the week, focus on activities that will put the public spotlight on your health center.
Engage all sectors of your community to participate by asking businesses
to lend their support by contributing resources to events and recruiting
volunteers from senior citizens or neighborhood groups to assist
in event planning and/or to distribute information.
Health Fairs,
Screenings and Open House events comprise the core of activities
for National Health Center Week. Health Centers are encouraged to
invite participation from public officials at all levels of government
by hosting clinic tours, receptions, award presentations, and press
conferences and using these public events to leverage media attention
and to generate support for their health centers and programs.
