Media Toolkit
Participation in National Health Center Week has dramatically increased
in the last few years. Yet, not every health center has the resources
and staffing to devote to this project. We encourage you to work
with your State and Regional Primary Care Associations, enlist the
support volunteers and coordinate activities with other health centers
and neighborhood organizations as well as to solicit sponsorships.
The goal of National Health Center Week is to create public awareness
of health center programs - the work you do - and how you do it.
URGE your local newspaper to write a story about your health center
- SEND out a press release announcing National Health Center Week
- INVITE local officials and your state and national lawmakers for
a site visit to your health center - REQUEST a proclamation from
your town or city in tribute to the contribution of your health
center in serving the people of your community.
